B&B MARECHIARO
in ANZIO / ROM
Around 30 miles south of Rome lies Anzio, playground of Emperor Nero, and site of the Allied invasion in 1944. It's the perfect place to escape the city, explore some history – and top up your tan
WE are "Maria Susanna" and "Karl Heinz"
and when we came to this place, my partner was breath- and speechless - so I decided to stay here... ;-)
Our small B&B just starts for the first time in 2015. fresh renova- ted inside, not everything ready outside - but we improve day by day ;-) (There will be never building or works, when you are here!)
The house is less than 100m from the beach (2 minutes way down the road without the day-and-night noise from traffic and beach-visitors and carfume) and ~260m from the train-station with direct connection to main-station Rome (60 minutes) - or just one stop to Anzio city (<10 minutes) - (without beeing disturbed from the trains...).
Closest Airport 'Ciampino' - from there with one of the Shuttle- Buses (4€) to Roma-Termini (HBf) in 20 Minutes and from there the train to ANZIO (direction NETTUNO) at least once an hour - and almost exact one hour to our Station, "Marechiaro"
We collect you there - or you just come down the road the 250mtr...
We invite couples into double-rooms, offer ONE single room - and if requested as well the whole house for 5 to 12 people - pets (sorry) not.. (We have several 'house-tigers', lizards and sometimes even geckos in the garden).
Beside the 3 bedrooms, there is a living room with TV, open fire- place, etc, a breakfast-/service-room - plus garden-area - and parking. In summer then as well with BBQ and more...
If requested we try to match to your wishes regarding "whatso- ever" - but smoking, which is inside the house a no-go!
Of course we offer some bottles of wine or Limoncello, a Brandy or beer,...,....
There will be all kind of refreshing-drinks and even food - typical Italian or European - or Indian/Persian home-made.
A typical Italian breakfast will be included - special wishes
for another one can be solved.
Eventhough there is no "full(hotel)-service", because we are a B&B and NOT a hotel, we try to offer a simple, clean and heal- thy environment, relaxing, chilling, - whatever it needs to keep you, our guests, happy.
We speak English, German and Italian, perhaps a bit French and - even less - other languages - or with hand and feet,
as usual in Italy (non-verbal communication) ;-)
Prices are incl. Italian breakfast - any other kind of breakfast can be booked, as far as available .
You can either book single/double rooms - or the full house - and a separate 'garden house'
(=in the garden), of >20sqm - with own bathroom - additionally.
Prices are depending on season, amount of rooms and persons - most expensive in peak season = mid-July to mid-Septem- ber - and Christmas / New Year
We will offer a Christmas-Service if requested early enough - appreciated for walks along the beach with its healthy air and the atmosphere - and peaceful nice visits to Rome around this special time.
With evenings at the fireside, special drinks ( Punsch, Glühwein Feuerzangenbowle ) and meals along December (prices depen- ding on the requested services )
Special wishes can be discussed - we are open for almost any suggestion and definitely prefer all communication by mail
